About Us

The studio was started in 2005 when Steve and Vicki returned to the Fresno/Clovis area after Steve retired from the military.  It started here on the property and Vicki soon started leading workshops in various decorative painting techniques and took on the Annie Sloan line of paints.  This got so busy that it was decided to open a store in old town Clovis where she settled in at the corner of 5th and Pollasky for 10 years.  In 2021 Vicki closed the store to help Steve with the growing of 3 Oaks Vineyard Winery  but continued selling many of her decor items as well as various paint accessory materials like Iron Orchid Design and Roycycled Decoupage Papers.  These materials as well as various other craft items and painted home decor can be found now at her booth space in Once Upon A Time in old town Clovis next to the credit union.   Creative workshops now continue at the winery with signups being on the winery website www.3oaksvineyardclovis.com

The studio building at the vineyard is now Vicki's art studio where she spends time at her easel and getting the studio gallery ready to be open during wine tasting hours.  

 Vicki grew up with a paint brush, marker or crayon in her hand almost always. Her love for being creative began at a very young age. She will tell you that one of her first memories as a child is sitting in the kitchen drawing a picture of her mother (of which she won an award for). While her love for all art started young, her professional background and training spans over 30 years of creating custom decorative paint finishes for clients’ furniture and home interiors. 

Over the years Vicki has completed several training workshops for all different kinds of professional decorative painting techniques and materials.  She has taught hundreds the joy of "doing it yourself" in both decorative home finishes as well as smaller craft projects.  During Covid, she realized she could no longer continue with the large furniture painting due to various injuries and surgeries needed so spent time creating smaller project based workshops.  Fast forward to 2024 and creative workshops are continuing at the winery on their property and most are taught by other creative artists!
