3 Oaks Studio was started in 2005 when Steve and Vicki moved "home" after his military retirement. The studio came about from Vicki's love of the painted finish, the use of color and her desire to help people discover their creativity in a relaxed and inspiring atmosphere.
Together they opened the studio next to their vineyard (3 Oaks Vineyard) on the property where the 3 Oak trees are (hence the name)...and the fun began!
Since then, 3 Oaks Studio had been in the heart of Old Town Clovis. After 10 plus years, Vicki decided to close the store to spend more time at home with Steve and their other business (winery) and decided to maintain some of the popular DIY items at a booth space soon in Once Upon A Time in Old Town Clovis and move the Paint Therapy workshops back to the studio!
As of November 2021 Paint Therapy project workshops are held at the studio at the vineyard!
And many of our retail items that we carried at our store (NO PAINTS OR STAINS) are found at our booth space in Once Upon A Time at 440 Pollasky Ave, old town Clovis. Items like Iron Orchid Design transfers, stamps, moulds and materials, Roycycled Decoupage Papers, our popular rustic rusty roses, cowhides, painted furniture and small hand painted decor are among what you will find in the booth. And even though Vicki is no longer carrying paints or stains, you will see her using Annie Sloan products in many of her projects.
Vicki grew up with a paint brush, marker or crayon in her hand. Her love for being creative began at a very young age. She will tell you that one of her first memories as a child is sitting in the kitchen drawing a picture of her mother (of which she won an award for). While her love for all art started young, her professional background and training spans over 30 years of creating custom decorative paint finishes for clients’ furniture and home interiors.
Over the years Vicki has completed several training workshops for all different kinds of professional decorative painting techniques and materials. Vicki has been personally trained by Annie Sloan and is personally knowledgeable in all the products she has carried.
Vicki starting teaching in 2005 as 3 Oaks Studio began, as a way to help others learn to transform their homes and enjoy being creative themselves, rather than having to pay someone else to do it for them.
Her continuing vision with 3 Oaks Studio is inspiring others to get creative and offer fun, relaxing creative workshops to help you beautify your home each season.
